Ibnu Sina University: Humanizing Humans

Ibnu Sina University is one of the oldest educational institutions in the Riau Islands Province, the result of a combination of three high schools, namely the College of Economics (STIE), College of Engineering (STT) and College of Health Sciences (STIKes) as of August 26 2019 under the auspices of the Foundation Education of Ibn Sina Batam (Yapista). As a higher education institution, UIS is committed to providing the best output for world civilization through a generation of administrators who are born with noble morals and an entrepreneurial spirit. These two points are demands for policy direction towards these two things. The Tridharma of Education (Teaching, Research and Community Service) continues to be implemented, developed and improved according to current developments with the ultimate goal being that quality education is obtained in a sustainable manner. Collaboration with various stakeholders so that the desired quality can be achieved. UIS itself has produced thousands of graduates, from seven existing study programs, namely Bachelor of Management, Diploma of Accounting, Bachelor of Accounting and Master of Management under the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB), Bachelor of Information Engineering Study Program and Bachelor of Industrial Engineering under the Faculty of Engineering (FT) as well as the Undergraduate Study Program in Occupational Health and Safety and Undergraduate Environmental Health under the Faculty of Health Sciences (FIKes). These graduates have played roles in all fields. Since the birth of STIE (10 May 1993), STT (28 September 21) and FIKes (19 July 2008) the commitment to a learning environment full of enthusiasm and innovation has been continuously promoted. UIS realizes that learning is not only developed in the form of hard skills. Soft skills are the main point in learning. Therefore, both students, educational staff and lecturers are required to be able to innovate. This is in line with the wishes of Yapista founder H. Andi Ibrahim, how to humanize humans through education. For information, Yapista has been present since July 14 1977. To date it has managed a kindergarten, two elementary schools, two junior high schools, a vocational school, STAI and UIS and has a health clinic.

(2) Ibnu Sina University has the meaning and significance of the symbol as follows:
a. Ibnu Sina University feels called to educate and develop
students become knowledgeable people, do good deeds and
Fear Allah SWT for the sake of happiness in this world and the hereafter.
b. The image of the "shining sun" is like the radiance of the Divine Light
encourage all campus residents to actively study science and technology (Science
Knowledge / Technology) and practicing IMTAQ (Faith and Taqwa)
as much as possible in order to make the development of the nation a success
under the blessing of Allah SWT.
c. Ibn Sina was a philosopher, intellectual, father of medical science and
International caliber Muslim author who is highly anticipated for
emulated by humanity, especially for University campus residents
Ibn Sina.
d. The dates mentioned above mean the birth of the Education Foundation
Ibnu Sina Batam (YAPISTA).
